Woohoo, 2020 is officially over! As exciting as it is ushering the new year and all the opportunities that come with it, it is still important to remember to stay safe when going outside. This includes wearing a mask and social distancing when possible. With that being said, if you’re feeling tired of staying at home all day, here are a couple of outdoor spots to explore in our home state of Florida!
Falling Waters State Park- Located in Chipley, Florida, this state park is home to the tallest waterfall in Florida standing 73 feet tall! This state park is also known for its multitude of gaping sinkholes estimated to be over 20 million years old. Stop by the campground with your family or friends to enjoy a true marvel of nature!
Florida Caverns State Park- Located in Marianna, Florida, this state park offers a plethora of opportunities to explore. The highlight is, of course, the caverns which they offer tours to explore the depths of the region and how nature and agriculture shaped the caves into the spectacle they are today. Beyond the caverns this park offers plenty of other experiences from horseback riding to geo seeking. With so much to do, you could spend days at this state park!
